    • Academic Integrity

      Appalachian State University’s Academic Integrity Code is designed to create an atmosphere of trust, respect, fairness, honesty and responsibility.

    • Animal Research Concerns

      App State requires all research animals to be handled, housed, treated, cared for, and transported ethically and humanely, per laws and policies.

    • Code of Student Conduct

      Appalachian State University fosters safety, learning, and student growth. Students commit to high standards of behavior supporting its educational mission.

    • Employee Relations Grievance

      Appalachian State University promotes direct communication between employees and supervisors to address grievances cooperatively. 

    • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse

      Fraud is intentional deception for gain. Waste is careless expenditure due to inefficiency. Abuse is improper, unethical use of authority or resources.

    • Human Research Concerns

      Research participants may have a complaint about their research project or have questions about their rights as a research participant.

    • Research Misconduct

      Research misconduct is falsification, fabrication, plagiarism, or serious deviation from accepted practices in proposing, performing, or reporting research.

    • Hazing

      Hazing is any activity or behavior that endangers, humiliates, intimidates, or harms an individual to join, participate in, or maintain membership.
