Introduction to Clery Safety
What is Clery Safety? Clery Safety, derived from the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, is an integral part of Appalachian State University's commitment to fostering a secure and supportive environment for our campus community.
Compliance with the Clery Safety Act is overseen by the Equal Opportunity Unit (EO), within the Office of Access & Opportunity. EO collaborates with various campus entities to promote safety and well-being. It manages compliance oversight, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, crime reporting requirements and Clery Safety Act standards.
Reporting a Crime
Any person who is informed of a crime or safety concern should document the information and submit a report to the App State Police as soon as possible.
